28-29th October | VIT UNIVERSITY
DevFest is GDG’s annual Developer festival, celebrating the community and hoping to empower young minds by bringing enthusiastic technocrats and thinkers under one roof. This time in the third iteration, participants get the unique opportunity to learn and interact with industry leaders, learning the ways of the trade from the best. The event is spread over two days, with a Hackathon lasting 18 hours, and an Ideathon of 8 hours taking place simultaneously. The first event is the Hackathon, with a goal to create a sprint like event, where participants create, hack, innovate to solve problems while adhering to the spirit of creativity and community that GDG is all about. The Ideathon on the other hand, presents an amazing opportunity for people who are just diving into the world of technology we all love and cater to. We are bringing in an eight-hour journey where teams collaborate and grow in and around each other, learning the value of teamwork to solve a given problem statement in the most efficient way possible.
DevFest 17’ will officially kick off. A brief speech followed by general introductions to the event outline, it's rules and regulations.

If you want to go back to your rooms and catch a snooze in your comfy beds, now would be the time to do it.
Don't let hunger get in the way of creating. Catch up on some meal time with your breakfast giving you a break from coding.
This would be to remind you of the looking deadline, and to finish up on integrating the modules you have been working on. Add finishing touches to your project to make it stand out.
Time's up fellas! End the codes and start the presentations. You now have to finish what you started and get working on a pitch to be presented to the judges. This would be the first call for pitch submission.
Time to see what you and your friends did in those 18 hours. Adhere to the deadlines, the pitching would begin at 2 PM.
Get ready to have your curiosity prodded and long standing questions answered. You're in for a treat!
